Black Sage (Cordia Curassavica)

This herb derives from a bush like plant and containing stomachic and sudorific medicinal benefits. The leaves when boiled as a tea are used to to treat hypertension, biliousness, diarrhea, gonorrhea and colds. It has also been known for helping women whom suffer with heavy menstrual flows. Pounding the leaves into a poultice is an ideal remedy for dandruff. The stem, which contains anti-bacterial properties, can be chewed to clean the teeth and destroy bad breath. Modern uses also include utilizing the Black Sage herb as a smudge stick.
